A Nablus couple in their 60s was rescued after being buried in their demolished house--knocked down by Israeli bulldozers--for a week. Eight other family members, including a niece who was seven months pregnant, were killed. The Israelis refused permission for a rescue effort and, when local Palestinians started digging anyway, Israeli troops fired shots in the air to try to get them to leave.
